Fun Squigglefly MYSTERY contest!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I got out of work yesterday and went to TC to see my daughter-and we went to Michaels and lunch-unfortunately Michaels still didn't get in the I-rock tool-that they were out of the week before that  : (  How sad!!! I got a rain check this time--but may just go ahead and order it online--I am anxious to try it out, specially since I bought two packs of the jewels that are sitting here waiting to be opened!
On to the challenge--what a fun one it is! Part 1 is to follow the sketch. Part 2 is to make your card to get xtra points-but you have no idea of what the xtra points are--they could be for an embellishment you use-or the color-etc.... there are 20 xtra points you can earn--but they are a MYSTERY! Well, here is my card-hope I win lots of extra points!!! (You must use at least one SF image to qualify) Go here to check it out!

Emma's Throwback Thursday

NO CRICUT CUTS--that was the challenge over at Emma's Throwback Thursday -this week. Again, I think my post is late--but I am not sure as I am not positive which time zone I am in! My hubby has told me a gazillion times, and I still can't keep it straight. Either way, I thought I would show the card I made. I know this little gal looks like she is dirty--but that is how this paper pack was made!!! It is Jacks World by Cosmo Cricket, and when I first got it-I emailed them and told them there was something wrong with the paper as it looked dirty--they so kindly sent me a new pack--which was exactly the same, and here I had already thrown the other pack away--I could have kicked myself! I guess it is to look like Jack was playing with everything! It is really a cute set--and it really kind of grows on you! The stickers and stamps and ribbon were all part of the set--as well as the patterned paper. Thanks for stopping by!

To enter my blog candy go HERE
I am thrilled that there is a new challenge over at the Peachy Keen Stamp challenge blog! It is called Let's face it Friday-because you need to use Peachy Keen Stamp faces in your entries! The challenge this week is to make a Halloween treat container. Here is mine-I followed a tutorial (here) to make my milk container, and used a few ghosties that I had cut from the mini monsters cart and a pumpkin from the MS seasonal cake cart--and a few embellishments I had dug out for halloween. Of course I used PK face stamps!!!
Sorry my camera just didn't like the lighting tonight! Hope you like it!

I am so excited!

Well, I got alot done today-made lots of cards, and I just have to show you this one!
Ok, so I cut out the little ghosts this morning to add to my blog candy--and then had to cut some out for myself, cuz I just thought they were so cute!!
I also rec. my package today with the stamps I won from Lorie through the Peachy Keen blog hop-so I had to ink up that little ghost as well--I added the hat from the set too. The faces of the two larger ghosties are also from PK -but a different set. I stamped dots on my ghosties to match the colors on the designer paper.
I used MS seasonal cake art for the drippy goo and the BOO!
Isn't this just adorable? I don't know why--but I am just thrilled with how it turned out!
Thanks for stopping, and if you want to enter my blog candy go HERE

Throwback Thursday with Emma

Well, it is Thursday and that means it is time for another Throwback Thursday ! This weeks challenge was to make a card with your choice of Cart. I picked Zooballoo, and decided to make a Halloween card with the Vulture. I used the eye from one of my Peachy Keen Stamps and just received my blog hop winning stamps from Lorie today - so used the sentiment and hat for my vulture too, and of course the little punkin face is a PK stamp as well. The pumpkins and the drippy goo are both from MS Seasonal cart. Hope you like it!

A new Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge today!

Hi all! Today's challenge is an awesome one! I loved every aspect of it...
I even tried something new--so be gentle--I am sure my next book will be better-but I am quite happy with how this one turned out-being it is my first one!
I got inspired to try making a book from over at Emma's Creative Time for Me. She made the most adorable little "boo" book! So I made a "fall" book to go with todays challenge at Fresh Brewed Designs!
What is the challenge?
Sept 15 Challenge DARE
D-Distressing
A-Autumn
R-Ribbon
e-Embellishments
I know it is hard to tell-but I did do a little distressing--and I even did lots of STRESSING! Heehee! So here is my book-

Aren't these digital images just the cutest?!! I love fall--and these are just so much fun!
For more info on how to make books with your cricut--check out Emma's blog! I found out that the cardboard I was trying to use needs to used with deep blade attachment-which I do not have --YET-(so I had to cut out the cardboard by tracing, which is why my letters are not at the end of each "page" as they should be! )but she has another alternative to use cereal box cardboard--which I will be trying real soon!
Thanks Heather for the adorable images--and Emma for the cricut and gypsy info!

Serenity Scrappers-challenge-your favorite weather time of the year

Hi all!
Did you see the challenge over at Serenity Scrappers? There is an awesome prize--so make sure to check it out!
The challenge this week is to send in something -card, layout, or tag-that includes your favorite "weather" time.
I have to say it is a toss up for me between Autumn and Spring--but since it is almost Autumn now, I went with that one!! The crisp air--somehow always seems fresher this time of the year-I love the idea of the corn mazes and pumpkins, squash and apples from this season too!
I made a card-using mostly SU papers and ribbon, and the image actually came from a "Heartwarming Vintage Booklet " made by Crafty Secrets. I added the white gel pen dots to my square punch outs-even before I decided to use the ribbon--I love it when it comes together like that! (by accident)!! I also added a few punched out branches from my Martha stewart punch.
Well, I will be back tomorrow with the new Fresh Brewed Challenge for you--see you then!

Peachy Keen Challenge/Squigglefly

Hi all! I have been working so much lately--that I have had no crafty time : (
Today I got out a little earlier though, and had time to make a card--well, actually two--but I guess it had been so long- my mojo had went on vacation, and the first card I made was so lame--I can't even show it!!
I wanted to join in the Peachy Keen Challenge, and when I had the colors out--this image came to mind!! I love this image, it is from Squigglefly--isn't she just precious!!!
Of course I had to add a Peachy Keen stamp in there--so I made a smiling sun!
Thanks for stopping by--come again real soon-in the next week or so I will be having a blog-a-versary candy!!

The Wedding and the Rainbow!

Hi everyone!!! I know I have been missing--not much time for blogging lately--but my daughter Chelsie got married yesterday! Well, on Saturday morning we had to figure out a new plan for the wedding, it was windy, cold, and raining--and Chelsie's wedding was supposed to be an outdoor wedding! We did figure it out though, and it ended up to be a gorgeous (inside) wedding!!! And lookie what bonus we got----not only one rainbow for the day-but there were actually 4 rainbows yesterday!! Now if that isn't a good luck sign, I don't know what is! : )
Here is a pic for you to see.
