I made this card for a gal who just had to have surgery. I have used Mr. Wool by Sandy Sommerfeld, which is available from Squigglefly. Very fun image, huh?!!

Squigglefly Challenge #3--A recipe card

HI everybody! Did you all have a great weekend? Mine (as usual) went by way to fast! Emily had a friend spend the night on Saturday--(it had been a while since she had someone spend the night and I had forgotten just how much energy they come up with -when it is time to go to sleep!) So to say the least...it was a late night! They had fun though-playing with their American Girl dolls that they each had got for Christmas!
So, on to the Squigglefly challenge...it was Rhonda's Rowdy Rascals turn to come up with the challenge-so I picked to do a recipe card. Here is the recipe:
1.use ribbon or twine
2.glitter (something sparkly)
3. a brad somewhere on the card

Here is the card I have made for the challenge:

I have used a new image from Squigglefly -by artist Jane Beljo-called Space Pack.

I know it is hard to see the glitter-but the Heart (from another new image: Heart candy drawn by Betsy LePlatt) is glittered up and so are this cuties cheeks.

I just love this new image by Sandy Somerfeld, it is called Mr. Wool, and is available over on the Squigglefly site now! How fun is this cutie? I made two of him, and made one girly by adding the bow in her hair (wool).

I used three of my SU punches and made the sentiment on my computer... I love how this one turned out!

My husband built for me...

I meant to show this quite some time ago-and then forgot.

It is a cupboard that my hubby made for my craft room--the idea came from the clip it up holder--I ordered lots and lots of the clip it up clips off of ebay and Kevin made the storage room for my 12x12 papers and my cricut carts, then added the metal rods to attach the clip it clips to, that way I have my embellishments out where I can see them, instead of all in drawers where they get forgotten!

Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions to improve it!

WOW! If you are ribbon and bow challenged like me --do I have a link for you! I am so excited to find these LOOPY LOOPY BOWS over at THE CUTTING CAFE!! They are so simple to make and look fantastic!!! I have only had the chance to make this one, but can't wait to get more time to play around with them and make more!!! I cut these out with my Make The Cut-(I was even able to change up the sizes on MTC)-but I think they would be easy to print and cut out yourself too!!

Winter Wonderland

Hi all!
Well, I am SO excited to say that I have almost all of my Christmas shopping done!! (and wrapped and under the tree!) That doesn't usually happen in this family! I know that the next four weeks are going to be very hectic at work--as we are short handed with the other clerk still off--so I have done most shopping on-line this year!

It is Monday and we all know that means it is time for a new Squigglefly Challenge--this week the challenge is: Winter Wonderland. I have used one of the newer images, found over at Squigglefly: Trimming the Tree -by Rachel Goble. I added some neat ribbon I purchased recently, and here is my card....

What? The weekend is over already?

Well, this weekend (as all others) just flew by! I did manage to get 30 some cards made....but not a pic of a one of them---can you believe that? I made lots of cards for mail carriers....using the cute mailbox that is found on the Jolly Holidays Cricut cart, very cute!! Emily stayed at a friends house on Friday night then I picked her up at Roller Skating after I got out of work on Sat.
Today we went to the local Library and they had games and crafts, and they showed the new Winnie The Pooh movie--Emily won the Movie while we were there, how cool is that?!! Now she is at a Thanksgiving dinner and craft get together with the Girl Scouts. The program is called Little Sisters, and has been very cool/and fun for Emily to be involved with!
Is everyone ready for Thanksgiving? In case I don't get back before then...Hope you all enjoy the day with your families!

My best friend and her family just found out that her husband Chris (age 41) has lung cancer. He is in the ICU at a hospital in Cary N.C and on a waiting list to be transferred to Duke. They are in shock --as he has never been a smoker, or exposed to any danger that they know of. Please keep them on your Prayer list--it would be much appreciated. Thank You!

New Squigglefly Challenge

Time for another Squigglefly Challenge--this week the challenge is to make a Birthday card, it is Marlene's week to pick the Challenge and since it is her birthday this month --she picks Birthday Card! I have used one of the Squigglefly images--this one is called "Bored Beatrice" and is by none other than Marlene! Beatrice comes with a sentiment too, but I used my own for this card.

As you all probably know the Post Office was closed on Friday for Veterans day--so I went with a couple of gals to a craft crop-there were lots of vendors there and I purchased lots of new papers and crafty items-fun to see all the goodies available out there!!

Challenge card for The Cutting Cafe's Case it Tuesday

Hi--I am really down to the wire on this one! I meant to get it done last night and then it just didn't happen.

So we were to case a card made by Julia--which you can see here. I used The Cafe's-Searching for the perfect Pumpkin file, and used some SU stamps for the background. Hope you like it--and there is a new challenge up as of today (Tuesday)--so make sure to go on over and "CASE" it out!

A Heartfelt card

This card is going out to a lady whom I have never met, her name is Beverly. She stopped at the scene of a horrible accident that one of my brothers best friends Dave was in, about a week ago. He was on a motorcycle--and from what I understand, he hit the back side end of a semi truck going in the opposite direction--and he has completely lost his arm! This lady happened past and she was a nurse--Thank GOD--she saved his life!! Between her and one of her male family members-they were able to control the bleeding enough to keep him alive until EMS got there!! She and her family deserve a medal of honor--he is such a good kid-(and probably only about 39 years old)-I am so happy she was driving by at that moment!! It will be long process for him to learn how to do everything one handed, but at least he is alive!! I have added an angel to the card I am sending her-because she is most certainly his angel!

my cute little image is from Lori by Designs! The sentiment is from another image she has as well, and fits perfectly--as it does make my heart smile to know there are still people like this out there!!!

CCR Sports challenge and Squigglefly

Hi everyone! Wheww...what a week! Today we went for another visit to Grand Rapids to see the Dr. about Emily's arm--she got a pretty good report, but the Dr. does want to see her again in 6 months. She has a large amount of bone growth on her elbow, and they want to watch it closely to make sure it doesn't affect her growth plate. I have been trying to work on this page for days now, and am so glad to see it finally finished...I really like how it turned out! I have made this sports page for the challenge over at: Creative Cutter Room, that I found from Carri's blog. I used the cricut for the all of the cut-outs except for the adorable little cheerleader!! She is a special digi-Rah Rah Rhonda-as she was made for me by Squigglefly's Chesney Young the first time around when I was on their DT.

Hi all! I have made this card for the very first Challenge going over at: LadyLuvBug's Blog! I have remade a card similar to one I had made when I was doing SU--but looking at the one from way back then--it was pretty plain and very simple...I like this version much better!I have used SU stmap set: Autumn Days... just by adding the extra DP papers and the doodling, and that fun leaf brad really spruces this new card up--and the old version did not have a sentiment either--which is part of the challenge!! The challenge was to make a Birthday or Anniversary card using fall colors. The 12th is also Janets Blog-A-Versary, so make sure to stop by and tell her HI!

The prize for this challenge? At the end there will be a drawing for a stamp set from the wonderful and talented Miss Emma of the My Creative Time Blog. Hi all!
Well, today is a sad post for me!!
This is my last post as part of the THE CUTTING CAFE DT!! As a rule, you can only be on the DT for two consecutive terms, then you must sit one out. So, maybe...just maybe... at a future time, I will be listed as part of TCC DT again!
Todays card I have made using: FUN WITH SILHOUETTES--which includes 66 images, and now has been updated with 36 of the images that are cutting files!! ( I used my cricut and MTC to cut out the two background trees) I also used: EVERYDAY MINI WORDS which I then punched out with my SU tag punch.

AND....this is your lucky week--you will want to make sure to visit and comment on each and every one of us THE CUTTING CAFE DT's who are participating... as you have the chance to win the file that each DT member has used for their card! Happy Monday-hope your weekend seemed to last longer than mine! It didn't help that I had to work from 6am to 5pm on Saturday!! (I did get an hour and a half for lunch--so was at least able to get home and let poor Max out!!)

Hi all! Today I have a card I made with another one of the newer files available over at The Cutting Cafe--Little Gumball Machine I just love this new set---so cute and there are two different Gumball machines to pick from and two different sizes-and lots of sayings!

Hope you all have a great day--I have a BUNCH of catching up on to do today! And so far, (and it is 11:24am) my hubby seems to have forgotten today is our anniversary!!! I think I may have to whip up a - your in the dog house" card for him!!!

Here is the card I made--then asked my hubby to look at--yep--he had totally forgotten!!! This image is from Squigglefly and is called In The Dog House--by Marlene S. It was so perfect for today! He did take Emily and I out to dinner (late lunch) at LaSenorita after that-so all is well! Wow--what weird weather we are having today--it thundered and rained so hard while we were at the restaurant that the lights went out--so we hurried home , we figured our puppy Max was scared to death by himself--and it hadn't even rained here!! But boy those clouds are sure dark ones!!

Hi all! I love this new file FUN WITH SILHOUETTE SET-there are 66 awesome silhouette images on this file---you can make a card for most any occasion! I have used the flower pot and added some dried lavender stems to it-(from my own yard!) then made the flower pot a bit bigger and popped it up on top of the flowers. Not only is it a pretty combination--it smells great too!! I have also used another new file-EVERYDAY MINI WORDS for my sentiment. New Squigglefly Challenge ....

Hi all--Happy Monday to you, and since it is Monday do you know what that means? Yeppers, that means there is a new Squigglefly challenge up! This weeks challenge is: Button Blowout!! I love putting buttons on my cards-and I have lots and lots of buttons--so it is a great challenge for me!!! I have used Squigglefly image- SECRETS by LuLu Lancaster. Don't you just love this image?!! I think I will put something inside like: Is having a friend like you!

I used DP from the June Bug paper pad by Basic Grey, colored these two beauties with copics and added a couple flowers and buttons and bows!! Make sure to check out all the other DT members inspiration too---over at the Squigglelfly Blog!

Hi! I am so not ready for the kids to start back to school---but it is only about 4 weeks away...
The summer has been HOT and SHORT!
I have made this card with several files from THE CUTTING CAFE -
ELISHA JEAN AND FRIENDS-HOLDING APPLE-PRINTABLE STAMPS (Elisha Jean)
ELISHA JEAN AND FRIENDS BASKET JUST FOR YOU-PRINTABLE STAMPS (Heart Border-and Hearts)
THE SCHOOL YEARS-PRINTABLE STAMP SET (I love my Teacher)
I colored her all up with copics and used printable papers from Pink Petticoat ( I think that is where they are from--I had them printed already)
I also used a little stickles on the apple on her jeans.

I wanted to tel you, too, that Regina is having a Design Team Call!! You can find all the details HERE. I can tell you that it is super fun to be on this design team! And I have to say THANK YOU to REGINA, she made me my very own HANDMADE JUST FOR YOU CUSTOM CIRCLES---and I totally LOVE them!!! Now I can personalize the backs of my cards--SWEET!!!

Squigglelfy Challenge card and news...

This card was made for the Squigglefly challenge this week---to use hand writing on you card-isn't this little Farm Froggie just adorable? He is available over at Squigglefly and is drawn by Eline Pellinkhof.

On another note, I have actually now heard from the folks at the Cricut Rewards program--they basically said that cricut rewards are shipped direct so therefore the cost is determined by weight, value, and destination....and they will be looked into to see if there is a better way. There was no mention, however of my complaint of the cartridge cutting the #5 dancer out backwards.

Emily's appointment went very well--looks like her wrist is healed now too---no more splint!! Yeah!

Hi all! Sorry I have had no new cards to show you in the last couple days....time is just getting away from me again!! I thought I would let you all know that even after emailing Cricut about the problem with the Twinkle Toes cartridge--I have had NO REPLY....guess everyone is right-their customer service could sure use a make-over!!! Maybe they should start there, rather than putting a "new" cricut machine out every couple months!!
On another note--we go again tomorrow to take Emily to Grand Rapids to the DR.--Emily has been going to Physical Therapy now for about three weeks, (and Kevin and I and Emily are soo impressed with what a difference there is in her arm) I can't wait to see how the Dr. feels about these improvements!!!

This dress file also comes with many embellishments -such as bows, and buttons, but I have once again used some of my rub-ons----I have so many and rarely use them! I also used some SU stamps for the flowers--which I had never used before--I really like them!

all right--so my daughter and I just cut an image out of one of the newest cricut carts I have purchased---Twinkle Toes...Dancer5 cuts out backwards!!!! when she cuts out her bow is on the opposite side it shows it in the book--thus when you cut out the bow--it is backwards and does not fit properly! Am I the only one who has found this problem?
And as long as I am venting....I guess I will take it one step further and say that I am SO DISGUSTED with the cricut rewards program!! I have 490 cricut rewards and I was going to turn them in for a set of cricut mats 12x12--I thought that was pretty cool to be able to get that with the rewards! NOT!!!! Sure you can get it ---if you want to pay $11.88 in shipping!!! I THINK NOT--when I can purchase them like I did last week at JoaAnnes for under $10-----

Hmnn... I really don't feel any better!

WOW! This day has went by way too fast! I don't seem to have gotten much done at all!! O'well, I did get this card made with this adorable image from THE CUTTING CAFE! This one is Mikala Ann from the set Elisha Jean and Friends Berry Sweet. I have also used the cute little frame from the set Elisha and Friends-Basket for you. Design papers are from Cosmo Cricket, also used were some rub-ons (not sure where they came from), and a few flowers I got in a little package form a craft store about an hour away. (the ONLY craft store around here besides Jo-annes, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby!) I have used this fun sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday for my card as well.

Hi ya'll!
I have recently purchased a set of three cricut carts off of Craigs List....one of which I already own...so I am going to use the STRETCH YOUR IMAGINATION (it is used-but in great condition) to start out my blog candy. I was told it was not hooked up to a gypsy. also going to be giving away some RIBBON and BAKERS TWINE from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I had purchased some of their ruffle ribbon and when it came I just loved it SO much I went back and ordered some more to give away!!
I am also going to add to this candy the following: (from some more of my very Favorite places on the net to shop),

HI all! I had someone give me a box of goodies that they no longer wanted...there are several of these in the box, but I don't know what to use them for/or where you would find small enough stamps to stamp on them with? If anyone has ideas please let me know!

This is the first week back as Squigglefly DT! Hurray!! So on to the challenge-it is to use metal on your card/projects. I have used one of the newer images....this one is called BUNNY BUSHEL by Diane Carubia.

I have made an ICE CREAM CARD today!! YUMMY!! This cutting file is available over at THE CUTTING CAFE-

definitely some SWEET STUFF! I have used my Pink Petticoat download paper scraps for the ice cream. I have used my MTC to cut out the card -and then a SU folder to add the dimension to the cone. The sentiment is also from THE CUTTING CAFE-

SUMMER FUN PRINTABLE STAMP SET.

I added a button to the middle of the sentiment with a little bit of scrappers floss to make a tiny bow--how easy is that?!!

Hello! Happy Sunday night to you all! I have had the chance to do a little crafting today--hurray! I have made this card for the Squigglefly Challenge--which was to use your favorites. I have SOOO MANY favorites at Squigglefly-but this one was one of my first! The image is called: ICE CREAM, and is by the very talented Lynne Stansbery. I just love this little sweeties chubby legs!! (and I have craved Ice Cream all afternoon-hmmm....)

This is gonna be a super busy week--so I will try to get a post or two scheduled. ( I am scheduled at three Post Offices this week....) Have a GREAT week, in case I don't make it back for a few days!
