The Crafty Journals Lou Lou Card

Hi all! Hope you all had a wonderful Saturday! I had a pretty good one, course I had to work this morning-but after that I went to my daughter Chelsie's and her hubby's new apartment a couple of towns over. It is really a cute little place--and as luck would have it-she is right next to the play area. Perfect for when her little sis comes to visit!! AND>..she can have a dog there--so even Emily's puppy Max gets to go visit!! My oldest daughter Brittany is in the process of moving some of her things home for a couple of weeks until she can get into her new apartment she is hoping to get! She should find out on Tuesday, maybe, hopefully!
I have made a card using the freebie image over at THE CRAFTY JOURNAL called Lou Lou the Grumpy Rhino. Isn't she just adorable?!!! I had so much fun creating a card using her!! Thanks for stopping by today!

Crazy card for my MOM

Hi all! My Mom asked me to make a special card for her to give to give to one of her best friends. They had had a conversation about the ready to bake pizza's that are available in some places. I guess they are really good at the place where my Mom's friend goes. We do not have any place like that around here--so my Mom's friend said she would get one the next time before she comes up--she lives 3/4 hours away--and they got to laughing about how it might continue to rise on the way if it is hot out....so I have asked Mike from The Crafty Journal if he would be interested in drawing up a digital image special for me to use for this card my Mom wants. He agreed, and did a super fantastic job of it, I must say!!! He and his wife Sarah are so friendly and I just want to THANK both of them!! If your looking for a fun freebie image--they have one on their blog right now called: Lou Lou the Grumpy Rhino!! Go on over and take a peek--you will be glad you did!! I understand they are working currently on a new site where his digi images will be sold as well!
So, do you want to see the card I have made with my special made image? (the truck full of pizza and sun)

I have paired up the digi image Mike made me along with a digi image called: Lets go for a ride (the road, sign and stop light-clouds) available over at The cutting Cafe. I made the sentiment on my computer and the inside says: Not meant for road trips!
Well, my Mom will be thrilled with it, and I am sure they both will be laughing about it for years to come!!
Thank you again, Mike and Sarah !!

Squigglefly Challenge #94

Hi everyone, are you all ready for Easter? I think I almost am--I just have to stop and get a cheesecake mix yet--hope the stores are open on Easter!
I have been wanting to make a card to enter into into the SQUIGGLEFLY challenge--and finally got it done! The challenge is to show what you like to do with your digis...I love to paper piece my digis--it is so easy, and a fun way to mix things up a little!! For my card today, I have used a Squigglefly digi image called Baby Elephant, drawn by Crissy Armstrong. I have used the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday--but after I was all done, I see I put my three gems in the wrong spot--hope it still counts!
Hope you all have a great EASTER!!

New set from THE CUTTING CAFE and a SF digi

You just gotta check out this new set from The Cutting Cafe!! It is so brilliant, and fun!! I have made this card using the new set as the DP background--isn't it delicious!!? I LOVE the colors together--and this is just one of them, there are several more already colored ones, and even black and white ones for you to color your own favorite colors! The set is also includes 25 fun sentiments to go along with it, and is called COLOR MY WORLD. The flower I have used is a digital from Squigglefly and is called BUTTON FLOWERS.
The leaves were just cut from the designer paper used for the flower, which had leaves on it. The middle of the flower is a colored dot from a Martha Steward set.
I had the rest of my root canal yesterday, and hopefully now my MOJO will come back! I have so much to do in the next few days! I will have 18 people for Easter dinner (which includes us)--yikes-I am not a good cook-hope they don't all go home hungry!!

Here is my card, simple as it is---the image is just very whimsical to me. This week is sparkly and shine, so I have added stickles to my cupcakes, although you can't really see them in the photo.

Squigglefly challenge card

Hi all! I have finally got time to sit down and make my card for the Squigglefly challenge. What is the challenge - you ask?! Well, this week it is to use fabric and to sew on your card. Both can be real or faux. I went with real--real fabric and real stitching--yikes-I actually got out my sewing machine that barely works for this one!! I used two different fabrics--I actually printed out the image on one of them and sewed them all together, and added a few embellishments and will put a sentiment on the inside. This image is another I have won--see get on over there and join in--you can win free images!! So, you won't see this image available at Squigglefly until Saturday, so this is a sneeky peeky too!! I can tell you however that this image is called TULIP BUNNY and is drawn by Diane Knott.

The Cutting Cafe Easter Card

HI all!! Sorry I haven't been around for a few days--we had a garage sale this last weekend. It ended up being almost the perfect weather for it! We did pretty good, but there is still too much left, so we are going to have it one more weekend-this next weekend.
Today I had time to make another Cutting Cafe Card--this one is  made using: EASTER SET 1 (little chick) and also: Beautiful Flowers (designer papers)
I also used my I-Rock for the gems in the middle of the flowers and for the corners. Have a great day!

Well, over at THE CUTTING CAFE-Regina has released a new file--and is it ever cute cute cute!!
The one I have used for today's card is Mikala...but the set includes three friends, called Everyday Elisha Jean and friends--go on over and check out them all!

A FOOPLE card

I found the cutest image--with the cutest story!!
This card is made with an image called a FOOPLE-he is found over at Squigglefly and is drawn by Nate Owens. You can read the story HERE on Holly's blog- Hogwildaboutstamping . I am entering this card into the Squigglefly challenge they have going on, which is to use wording on your card/project. I have used the image of  words found in Squigglefly's freebie section. Hope you like my card!

This is my second post of the day--don't miss my previous post with a sneek peek of a SF image coming out on Saturday!

wanna SF sneekie peekie?

Well, I won the challenge over at Squigglefly last week--and got to choose one of the images, or a surprise image. I loved several of the images in their last release, but I went for the surprise image. I LOVE this little gal--she is just SO ADORABLE!! So, I  can show a sneek peek, but I do have to let you know that she won't be available until this next Saturday. Her name is sweet girl--how appropriate!! She is drawn by Squigglefly's Paulette Long. And this charm is one that the talented Marlene sent me! Thanks again Marlene!

Thank You Squigglelfy! By the way they also have a new challenge going on over at their challenge blog-which is to use WORDS--check it out.

Bee Crafty Challenge

Hi all! I got a couple minutes today to make a card--this is a free image available over at BEE CRAFTY. They have a challenge going on to make an Easter Card/or Craft Item. I have used their free image for this card--isn't it an adorable image?!! I have used digital  DP's from Pink Petticoat, a few embellishments, and my SU corner punch. Hope you like it-I am off to put it away BEFORE I clean the stamp that I used for the sentiment! Heehee!!

Has this ever happened to you?

I am soooo bummed! I made this card yesterday-and then remembered my camcorders battery was dead, so I put the card up where I would normally take the pic and proceeded to clean my work desk up--which included cleaning several stamps my daughter and I had used! Well, I didn't notice until I went to take the pic---but while I had been cleaning my stamps-the water splattered and I ruined my card! I thought I would show it to you anyway--just try to ignore all the spots. I sure will be more careful next time!
For this card I used several files from THE CUTTING CAFE- the new CLOUD NESTING FRAMES, for a template, and the flowers from EASTER SET 2, and the sun from ONE SPRING DAY. I had watched a video in the last couple days of how to ink these clouds like this--and I am SO SORRY that I can not remember which blog--if anyone knows please let me know--so I can give credit where it is deserved!
I also used a Peachy Keen stamp for the face on the sun, and a SU stamp for the sentiment. Have a GREAT SUNDAY!
