Gabby/Abby challenge #4

I love the challenges these two talented gals are having! This week the challenge is to use CANDY!!
How easy is that what with Halloween and all? I almost went with a Christmas Candy theme, but decided to stick with Halloween. Go to check out GABBY and  ABBY and enter for yourself, but you'll have to hurry!!
I made up a cute little candy bag using an image from Fresh Brewed Designs--isn't this little candy corn fella a cutie?!!! FBD is currently having a full DT call--but not much time left to get in on that either--so grab a Fresh Brewed cup of your favorite beverage and get on over to the FBD Challenge Blog for details on how to become a DT member!
P.S. Don't forget about Abby and Gabby's blog hop on the 1rst of Nov.!!! (See sidebar)

Todays challenge was a sketch challenge-and here it is:

I have used this gorgeous image called
Tiana Fairy. I love how she turned out-you cant really tell in the picute but I put some lacey film like paper over top of her wings to give them more dimension. I also got out my I-rock for the bling. Stay tuned for some more extra special news coming soon from FBD too--you won't want to miss it!

Lets Face it Friday #3

Hi! The challenge at Peachy Keens Lets face it Friday this week was a fun one to do.
Create a home decor item based on a harvest/fall theme.
So, I had purchased this cute little fabric Pumpkin, and wanted to dress it up a bit.
I added a Turkey--who is hiding behind the cute little ghost--and added a PK face on the ghost. Added a little sign cut with my cricut and also a few pumpkins--which also got to display PK faces! the little sign is made with a stamp I picked up for a dollar--and I thought it was cute to point the "would be turkey hunters" away from this little turkey! I would say the ghost is being very mishevious, and knows just what he is doing helping Mr. Turkey out---and the pumpkins are shocked--but can not tell you anyways!! ; ) I also added some rafia on the sides to look like corn stalks.

Tomorrow's Brownies craft

Hi all! Tomorrow is Brownies--and I am a co-leader( my youngest- Emily- is in the group!), one of the things I have been doing since I started being a co-leader is the craft for each of the meetings.
Wanna see what the craft is for tomorrow? Keep in mind these girls are only 2nd and 3rd graders-so it can't be anything too difficult as we only have an hour.
I got this idea from a magazine, and thought it was a great idea to get the girls thinking of what they were thankful for! what do you think?

Gaby Abby Challenge #3

Are you ready for another Gaby Abby Challenge? I was--cuz I was so sad to find I missed out on one!! This week it is to make anything you would like-but it has to have a monster on it--it can be scary or cute!! I picked cute! I actually made a little door hanger ( I put magnets on the back)-so someone could leave a message if you aren't home. The little monster and the eyes do glow in the dark--but my camera would not catch it. I cut the letters out with my gypsy and cricut from (I think) the Hanna Montana cart. The little monster and the eyes, and Boo were in a sticker pack-but I am not sure where I picked it up at. The little Happy Halloween was part of a swap I had entered. I put eyelets in to hold the ribbon that holds the pencil, and I found that cute little notebook in a package of 6 in the dollar bins at Target! Hope you like it! Make sure to check these gals out--not only is there a prize, but they are both so talented!!! Lots, and lots of gorgeous projects on their blogs!

A SF card and a project

Ok- I am back--I have my little kiddo home with me today-she woke up in the middle of the night with a 101 temp, so I figured she best stay at home--since I had the day off anyways. I had an appointment for my mammogram this morning-and I am really impressed with the hospital for their Mammo department. It is set up to be so comfortable--really nice! So, I made this card to send out to them--the digi image is from Squigglelfly-and is one of the inside outs.

I also made something the other day to send off to my daughter Brittany-who is in College-she has always had such a thing for anything that involved Breast Cancer Awareness. It is a wreath - made up with several BCA items on it--and I got a pin today that I can add to it before I send it to her. It was so easy to make!! the little dangle that is kind of hidden in the photo says " courage".

We also got to finally meet her boyfriend a couple of days ago--here is a pic--aren't they a  great looking couple?!!
Well, off to read Emily her library book--(she is loving the Magic Tree House collection right now)-hope you have a great day!

Guess what came in the mail today????

Hi everyone--I received my Scotch Pink ATG!!!! I am so excited! I had trouble figuring out the instructions on how to start the ATG tape-but found a great video on a website HERE. Off to have fun now--will be back later with a couple of cards-I hope!

Hi all! I am running late-but wanted to hurry and get my project up for the Peachy Keen Challenge # 38. It was to be about October, but not a card. So, what I made was a door hanger for my front door. I used a couple of PK stamp faces to cutsey it up! : )

Peachy Keen challenge-Let's face it Friday #2

Well, I am short on time today,as always, I am totally amazed at how fast the days go by!!--but had to get on and post my scrapbook page that I made for the Peachy Keen challenge! The theme for this one was: your muse--of course my muse is my Children and Family! So here it is:
I have cut out the tree using My community and the Family with Hannah Montana--but got so caught up I forgot to keep mental note on which carts I used to make the apples and leaves! Sorry!
I also used my Peachy Keen Stamps for my faces on the apples--several different sets were used! I just love them all--and can not wait to get more!! Well, hope you are all having a great start to your week!
We did go see two movies this last weekend: Secretariat, and Ramona and Beezus. Both were very good movies--Emily said she liked Secretariat the best, but I am sure it was just because there were Horses in it!
I am off to work for a couple hours--Bye!

Emma's Thursday Throwback

Hi all! Emma didn't have a Thursday Throwback last week, so I was excited to check this week's challenge out!
This week the challenge is: Use Create a Critter, you must use the color Orange, and it must be a shaped card.

The cut-out I made was actually supposed to be a carrot--but I made it into a Little Corn Girl! I used my Peachy Keen stamps I just got like last week--PK-640 Princess Face Assortment, for my little corn girls face, and added some little cheeks for her.
I also used some neat little Yo-Yo's a friend made for me, and added a brad to the middle of it-for a barrette for her. I was also excited to put my new I-rock to use!! I gave up on Michaels--(they still haven't called to say they got some in!!) and ordered it on-line, and had it in a couple of days! Gotta love Ebay! Ya know, I had to have one after seeing Emma use hers on one of her video's! Well, would love to hear what you think of her!
