For my Nephew...

Hi all! There is a challenge over at Fresh Brewed Designs- CAFFEINE CRAZY CHALLENGE--which is to use RED
it only happens when there are 5 Wednesdays in a month...so there are only a handful of these special challenges! I have used; Love to the Rescue--he reminds me so much of my nephew Ty,  that this card will be for him for Valentines Day!

Meljen's challenge #144- Be a Square

Hi all-I had a few minutes tonight to make my Grandma a card... she LOVES Elephants, so when I saw this baby elephant over at Meljen's Designs, I thought it would be perfect! Plus, since my daughters party theme for her baby shower was elephants...I will be using this for my grandsons (Parker's) scrapbook as well! This one is called Stuffed Elephant. I also bought the cute little monkey called Monkey Toes to use for Parker's scrapbook as well.

I wanted to enter this into Meljens Challenge #144-Be a Square.

Hello--I am back with my card...

I have made my card today for the new digi release over at Fresh Brewed Designs! Heather has drawn up a couple of new digis, and they will be available to purchase today--woot-woot! These new digis are so much fun and just in time for Valentines cards! I have used: "Capture My Heart" and my daughter Emily has used:
"Crazy In Love2".
 Here is my card:

I have also used homemade embellishments that I purchased in the Fresh Brewed Designs store too-how perfect are those hand cut felt hearts with this image?!!

Now for my daughter Emily's card (she is 9):

she has used "Crazy In Love2"...what a great card, right?!! We have both used some of the paper that these goodies arrived to me all wrapped up pretty like in!! It was so perfect for these Valentines Cards.

Tuesday Throwdown

Hello! I am so excited to share with you today a card that I made for the Tuesday Throwdown's "Furry Friends" challenge. I have used a freebie from Meljen's (the sponsor this week) called: Love is Sweet. Isn't this image just adorable...I think so, and what an excellent image to use for Valentines!

I have used a home made embellishment that I recently purchased over at Fresh Brewed Designs...it matched up just perfectly! The doily I believe came from a sweet blogger friend Stacy from  Impressions of a Ribbon Addict--thanks Stacy!!

Fresh Brewed Designs & Sweet Sketch Wednesday

HI all! I am so glad it is the weekend! Not that I am going to get to spend much of it on myself and crafting... but I got a little bit of time tonight, and have had so much fun creating with one of my new stamps. This is Cherry Cupcake Cutie and she is from Fresh Brewed Designs, I also got some super fun Felt Embellishments there too ( the cupcake used on this card- and there are other new ones too). I added lots of pearls, and colored her up with my copics. The papers are from my stash. I wanted this card to be bright and fun as it is for one of Emily's friends birthday parties tomorrow. I have followed the sketch for Sweet Sketch Wednesday, and will be entering this card in their challenge. Here is the sketch:

a few SQUIGGLEFLY cards...

Hi all! I have spent most of the day in my room--and got hardly anything accomplished...how does that happen? We have had some yucky weather, so it was a good day to just stay inside. I did get a couple of cards done today: remember the image I used yesterday for my baby cards? I knew it would also make a fantastic Valentines Day card: Heart Blowing Ellie is a digi image from Squigglefly, artist is Louise Gardner .

I also made a few flower cards-using just one of the flowers from the Squigglelfy's set: Smell The Flowers by artist Michelle Bertuzzi.

Well, gotta go make meatloaf and baked potatoes for dinner...

Squigglefly Challenge #2-I've got the winter Blues/or make a blue card

Hello! I finally got a few minutes to sit in my room and make a card for the
 SQUIGGLEFLY Blog  Challenge! This weeks challenge is I've got the Winter Blues-and you could decide to make a winter card or a Blue based card. I went with the blue based card--I used Squigglefly's Heart-Blowing Ellie by Louise Gardner. This image would be perfect for
Valentines which is right around the corner too!

Hi~ I have had time to play again today! Woot Woot!! I just love to get to come down to my room and make something--today I talked Em into coming down with me~even better!!

I got just a couple minutes yesterday to throw a card together-I was cleaning my space and these papers and the image were there-so I decided to put them together and make a card. I colored this adorable image Ice Skating Maisy up with my copics. Ice Skating Maisy is a digi image that is drawn by artist Diane Carubia and is available at Squigglefly.

I found the little tag and the brad in my stash, and I punched out the hearts with my SU three heart punch. Sentiment is from My Creative Time~Teeny Tag Greetings. I have really missed the time down in my craft room making cards---can't wait to play again!! (later today or tomorrow after Church!)

On another note-I am done at the AFC home, and have started the daycare up-getting kids started has been a little slower than I had hoped, but we do have a couple starting in the next couple weeks--I definitely need to find a few more though, to make this work out!!

Squigglefly challenge #1-Thank Yous

Hi! What better challenge right now, than a Thank You card? I am sure we all need to send a few Thank You's for all those awesome presents we just received over the holidays!! I have used one of the brand new images just released over at Squigglefly this past Saturday-Winkie's Snow Day Dreaming by artist Cheryl Alger~isn't he just adorable!!

I am not sure why I went with the dark background oval-but it had pink and blues that perfectly matched my image, so I thought it looked alright (they are hard to see in the photo-but they are there).  I used some burlap in the background, some crinkled seam ribbon, and  a few embellishments on the top and bottom, as well. This one was for my Mom who gave us all wonderful gifts!!! Thanks Mom!
