HAPPY MOTHERS DAY & a fun story...

HI! I want to say Happy Mothers Day to all of you FABULOUS Mothers out there today! Enjoy your day with your Loved ones!!
This is my Mothers Day card for my WONDERFUL MOTHER!

I have used a file from THE CUTTING CAFE called BEAUTIFUL ROSE I colored in the Roses with Copics and added the pearls. I have also used a SU punch and stamp for the sentiment, a tiny little bow, and some doodling around the edges. I have made a stand on the back and the vase is the actual part that opens up to read my note to my Mom inside.

Something really neat to tell you-I got to meet Diane from Nellies Nest on Friday! How cool is that? My daughter and I had went to Gaylord to shop for my youngest daughters birthday presents, and we stopped off at Hobby Lobby as well, and we were asked if there were any other craft stores in town--and while talking for a minute to the lady who asked-we learned that it was Diane! I follow her blog-and she recognized me as soon as I said what town I was from! So nice to meet you Diane, sorry I was so quite--I was in total shock!!

Pinwheel card with The Cutting Cafe file...

Hi all! Are you having a wonderful weekend? I have made this pinwheel card with a file from The Cutting Cafe. You can find the file HERE. I added a little fence with a Martha Stewart punch and a cute little flower brad in the center. I am really happy with how this turned out-what a fun file!!

I forgot to tell you the good news-I am scheduled to take my CPR and First Aid class on Thursday -and then I will be able to start my new job!! Wish me luck!

A couple of Squigglefly cards

Hi all! Hope your week is going great so far! Mine is, and tomorrow I am going to an all day conference for library board trustees. I am sure to learn lots!

I have had time to make a couple of cards in the last few days... The first one is for my Daughter Brittany-she has been in college now for several years-and I am so proud to say she is Graduating on Saturday!! Whooohoo!! This image is from Squigglefly and is called Graduation Celebration by artist Cheryl Alger.

This second one is for my niece's Birthday. This image is also available at Squigglefly and is just one that is included in a set of 9! The set is called Garden Party and is by artist Diana Garrison.

Well, I am off to start dinner and run to the store for a new shelving unit--I am determined to get more organized! BYE...

SFC #17 Use Pink and Blue on your card or project

Squigglefly Challenge Card

Hi again! Whoohoo-two posts in one day! Plus I re-arranged a bunch of things in my craft room to make it more organized--so excited!
I have made this card for the Squigglefly Challenge which is to make a Mothers Day card.

I have used the image Tulip Display and it is by artist Lynne Stansbery. Isn't it just gorgeous!
I really need to find a class to learn how to shade!

Another quick fast card

Hello!
I got a package in the mail today with the most awesome little homemade butterflies--so I just had to make another of these quick, fast cards so I could use one of them! Didn't this simple card just turn out so pretty!!? I love how the butterfly just adds such a soft statement! I used papers from a new Authentique paper pad that also arrived today-it is called Delightful. (I know...why in world am I ordering more paper?)
