News to share


Hi everyone! Just a quick card today that I made for a fellow in my workplace who is retiring Saturday. I have used SU stamps, and some really cool sprocket gears by Tim Holtz that I found.
Now for the news----make sure to mark your calendars!!!

Fresh Brewed Acorns!

Chelsies softpencil/nutcrafter card


I told you I would be back with a card for my other daughter Chelsie! I tired to make them real similar-used the same sketch and stamp and cupcake (the cupcake and breast cancer ribbon can be found over at nutcrafters and is part of their digi called Pink Frosting -a breast cancer awarness set!)--just a different image-Chelsie has always loved butterflies, so hers is a butterfly image that I got over at softpencil - isn't she just an adorable fairy butterfly!!! I love all the detail on her wings!!! Well, thanks for stopping by today!

Squigglefly challenge

Hi Ya'll!!! I have a challenge card today, Kim had decided on a gatefold card. I have never made one before, but really enjoyed making it! And it was really easy-I was very surprised! I may even make some of my christmas cards this way! Thanks Kim for thinking out of the box! Well, with Halloween almost upon us, I wanted to use this cute Witch image that Lynne so kindly gave up as a freebie!!! Thank you Lynne! This type of card opens in the middle and has two sides--I just cant show ya, cuz I didn't think to take the picture before I wrote on the inside! Thanks for stopping by!

Mudzie re-vamped! which one do you like better?

Squigglefly's Mudzie!!


I have made another Mudzie card...I wasn't really happy with how dark my last one of this image turned out--so I wanted to make another card, coloring the Mudzie a lighter color. I am much happier with the color of this one!! This Christmas Mudzie is available on Squigglefly, and keep watch-cuz they have another release coming Nov. 1rst! Yeah! I can't wait to see what they have in store for us this time!

Mojo Monday and Nutty nutshells


Ok--one (two) more challenge(s)! I have had fun this week with a few challenges-here is another, this one is for two challenges--Mojo Monday which is the sketch I have followed, and Nutty Nutshells 2nd challenge-which was to find a sketch and make a card with an image that Nutcrafters sells. (and they sell many). I made this card for my oldest daughter Brittany who is away in college and I plan to add to it a breast cancer awareness bag filled with Halloween candy. Tilda and Pumpkin


Hello!! I have had my stamps out of Tilda today! I decided while I had them out to make a card with the Tilda and Pumpkin----she is so cute! I am not sure where I had purchased the sentiment - but it was from a digital place-if anyone recognizes it -please let me know , so that I can give proper credit! I have colored with copics and used glitter to spice it up. Have a great day--with the kids feeling better, tomorrow it is back to work for me! : ( Boo hoo!!

Nutcrafter pecan witch


Nutty Nutshells Wednesday has a new challenge blog! I have just finished up this card to enter it! This digi image was free to those entering. She is such a cute pecan! I have used SU cardstock and papers from the Debbie Mumm Harvest and Holiday paper pack. I have a thing lately for these circles--hope I am not boring you with them!

Pollycraft card today


I have made todays card with a Pollycraft image image. They are having a birthday celebration, and have some special edition digis available for a limited time only--so hurry and check it out!!! This is called JOYOUS---isn't she gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by today--hope all are well-I am home with Emily and Coday again today. They even closed our schools for a couple days to go in and disinfect it!!! Luckily Emily seems better, her fever has gone now- and Cody is fine as well!!!

Hope you all are well! Emily is sick-there have been like 200 kids home sick all last week from the school here, and I think it caught up with her! Kinda scary with all the news about the HCN1 !!! My "pear" of cards


Heehee- I made a couple of cards yesterday with the stamping ladies- i bought this new set of Penny Black stamp set called ..in a pear tree. i used a new DCWV book of Christmas papers called Holiday Collection, the Christmas stack---gorgeous papers!

The magic of pretend


Isn't this the cutest image -and doesn't it bring back childhood memories?!! You can find it at Tracey's store- The Stamping Boutique. Tea parties are such a favorite of little girls! I have colored the image with my copics and then couldn't find any blue that matched for the papers! : (
I had found these adorable little embellishments last week, the little bear had a button thingy on the back-but I just had my hubby cut off the button part, and whhhalllaaaa it is a perfect embellishment!
I added a couple diamond embellishments in the two corners as well.

Card for another card contest


Hi Ya'll!
i have made this card for yet another card contest at the scrapbooking store. this month the card needed to have the theme of Trees and their wonderful colors. I think this one qualifies, even though all the leaves are on the ground! This image came from Squigglefly, and is one that is done by Lynne. These cute little bears are called shy bears--aren't they so cute?!!!!
There is a challenge over on the SF blog, and you have the chance to win 2 free images-and there is an awesome new release coming on Oct. 17th! Make sure to join us for sneek peeks! I did some paper piercing on this one, and I think it turned out much better this time! Yeah!

Brittany is home for the weekend, and at about 3:30 this afternoon we decided to go to a scrapbooking store that is about 2 hours away-(they were staying open late today) and I got to use a couple of coupons I had won there for a couple cards I had made for contests. I found lots of gorgeous goodies, and we got to make a card too. Here is mine.

turkey anyone?

Hey there! Do you see a little sparkle to this card? I have tried to use some twinkling H2O's and kinda messed up the apples a little, as I tried to paint over the red copics with a pinkish color-but I added stickles on top, so hopefully it doesn't look too bad! This was my first attempt using these paints, and I am excited to try it again! I love the sparkle Holly!! Thank you! I got this dear little turkey over at squigglefly. They are having another big release on the 17th. make sure not to miss it! On this card, I used more of the new debbie mumm paper pack-ya really gotta get it!
