MERRY CHRISTMAS...and a Thank You gift.

Hi all! I hope you are enjoying your day with family and friends! We have had a wonderful Christmas, and the kids all loved their homemade gifts we made for them! I will try to grab some pics to post later in the week, if I get the chance before they take them home!
This was a free week over at THE CUTTING CAFE for our DT posts, so I have made a Thank You gift for one of the girls I work with...she surprised me with a box of homemade goodies for my family...YUMMY!! She is a great baker-I haven't figured out where she finds the time!
I have made a similar card folder here, but like I how I changed it up just a bit, and made different cards for inside.
I have used THE GREETING CARD FOLDER file from THE CUTTING CAFE. I just love how easy it is to make, and decorating it is so fun!! What a great way to send a few cards off to someone to use throughout the year! (it will hold 6 regular cards and 6 envelopes or approx. 4 embellished cards....Also instead of filling with Handmade Cards, you can put Envelopes on one side and a Note Pad on the other side)
That gorgeous little butterfly on the top photo, is a homemade goodie sent to me by Holly Young--they are so amazing! Thank You again, Holly!

Well, this is my last post for THE CUTTING CAFE for this time around, I will miss it--and You, Regina...Thank You, for the fun and the super files you have shared while I have been on the DT!!
Bye for now~

Squigglefly's new Challenge~use traditional Christmas colors: Red & Green: and NEWS!!

HI! I have a new challenge to share with you today from the Squigglefly Challenge Blog! Use traditional Christmas colors~Red & Green. I also have some very exciting news to share with you!
First I will share my card for the challenge with you, I have used one of the new Squigglefly  images: Holiday Lamp Post by artist Lynne Stansbery.
This image was perfect for me, as I was making a Thank You for the Garden Club, who made a couple Wreaths for the ladies at the AFC home I currently work for. I colored up the wreath and cut it out, and popped it up on the image, to add some dimension to it~I love how it came out!
Go on over and check out the blog and join us --if you use a Squigglefly image on your entry (and there are several freebies on the Squigglefly site), you have the chance to win a free image!

Now for my exciting news-I will be leaving the AFC home i have been working at, I will truly miss some of the ladies there, but I will still get to go see them, as I will be stopping by ever now and again, to do some cards and crafts with them!
But the big news is: I am opening back up my daycare!! It will allow me to be home for my Emily, and spend much more time with my family than the midnight shift at the AFC home!! My daughter Chelsie (who just had the Halloween baby: Parker) will be doing the daycare with me, so I will also get to see her and my grandson nearly every day too! I am so EXCITED! (it should also give me more time in the evening to visit all your lovely blogs and do a bit more crafting than I have got to do in the last 6 months as well!) Whoohoo!!
Thanks for stopping by today,
Rhonda

one of my Christmas presents done...

I have seen something like this on Pinterest-so thought I would make my daughter Brittany one for Christmas-obviously I need to get a black dry erase marker for her - as I think  it would show up much better!
I have used Papers from:
My Minds Eye-Lost and Found-Breeze
Cosmo Cricket-Earth Love
My Minds Eye-Miss Caroline
Basic Grey-Lemonade
Black vinyl-cut on my Cricut using Disney Mickey Font Cartridge

We have decided that this year, we are mostly doing homemade gifts for everyone, including the kids. Later, after I get some more done, I will show pics of the bed, table and chairs-etc... that Kevin has made for Emily's American Girl Doll  and the outfits I have made for her as well.  Have a Great day!

Hot Chocolate Holder...with TCC and SF

HI! This week Regina From THE CUTTING CAFE asked us to do a project with one of the following: Hot Chocolate Holder (which is the one I decided to make)-Tea Bag Holder-or the Shaped Christmas Card Set ( I did get the chance to make 4 of the Christmas bulb cards-but have not had the chance yet to make the box or any of the other three shaped cards). I have to tell you that it was hard to decide which one to do, they are all so fun, and these files are so easy to create with!!

 Here is the inside:
I have used digital papers from Squigglefly called Winter Wonderland by Inger Harding. These papers are lovely!! I made a brad to match the papers with my Imaginisce tool, colored a few flowers with my copics, added a few pearls, ribbon and 2 tags from the matching Winter Wonderland Tags-and of course a couple packets of Hot Chocolate...and you have a fun little gift for a co-worker/Teacher etc.... I also used the same set of papers for the 4 bulb cards.

I hope you like my inspiration today--but there will be lots more that you can look through on Wednesday evening over at The Cutting Cafe Blog--go check out some of the other DT's projects!!
Have a great day!

Autumn card with MCT

I have a card to share with you today that I made with my new MY CREATIVE TIME items. I was so excited to get them in the mail-so fun to get crafty packages, don't ya think!!?!! I just had to buy the whole release this time-I couldn't leave anything out!
Well, they have a challenge going on to RECYCLE IT-so I had a brad that I had used on one of Chelsie's baby shower gift bags. Our pup Max had gotten one of them when my daughter set it on the bench and of course it had candy in it-so he grabbed it. I did save the brad, but the bag didn't make it! So, I have re-used it on this card.
I also used: MCT set Piles Of Smiles and her XL LABEL DIE along with XL Label Borders.
Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

I will have to see if Chelsie happened to get a pic of it, and show you later! UPDATE: she didn't get one either--what a bummer-it was so cute!!
