Squigglefly Challenge #7

Wow, it is really hard to believe that we have been doing these challenges now for seven weeks already! This week it is Kims turn to come up with the challenge-this is what she picked-
My challenge is to make a card using the "out of the box" technique.
So, you'll be able to tell a little more exactly what this means when you see my card. I choose to use the "Feathered Friend" image, as I thought it would be perfect for this challenge! "Feathered Friend" is available here! Cardstock is SU-and designer papers are from the Making Memories-"Chloe's closet" paper pad. I colored with my copics and used my creative memories ovals to cut out the ovals. A few embellishments from my stash, and the Thank You is from the Su "Happy Heart Day" stamp set. Thanks for stopping by today!

Chelsies card box

Hi Yall! Well, since Chelsies theme for her open house is Hawaiin Lua (not sure of that spelling)-we tried to make her box look beachy. She did alot of the work, I only helped-a few ideas here or there. She is quite happy with it-what do you think? The palm trees and the sun were made on the cricut-she put actual sand (that Cody brought her back from a trip to Florida) and made the WAVES-with a SU punch. Hawaiin Tilda was colored with copics, and the Beach ball, fishies, sunglasses, and the pail were from the SU set Lifes a breeze. The white things in the air are supposed to be seagulls-I cut them out free hand, and I'm not sure if you can really tell what they are supposed to be? Only 6 more days until her open house-yeah! Oh, and on the top I have made a purple butterfly-as Chelsie has ALWAYS loved butterflies and her fav color is purple! We have Hawaiin Lais (again-spelling?) to give out to everyone and we are going to put a couple fish bowls with real goldfish in them and then pray some nice mommies will their young ones take them home! (kinda like going to the fair-but they will already have the bowl!) Anyways, I would love to hear what you think?!!

A surprise from Sara

That is the name of this new image! Isn't she the absolute most adorable!!!! I got her over at Squigglefly, and you can too-just go here . She reminds me of all the Strawberry Shortcake dolls and horses and backpacks and clothes......I have bought for Emily! I am no longer sure if it is really Emily or I who really likes SS so much! : ) She even has a strawberry shortcake ceiling fan! Well, enough about that and back to this card-I have colored her with my copicso-ya'll are probably getting tired of the same old colors-but untill I can get more copics, I hope you are ok with them! The cardstock is of course SU and the desinger papers are from a stack called Nanas Nursery by DCWV. I added a few stickles on the clouds and used a couple embellishments from my stash. The ribbons on the card are from Making Memories-Kate. Well, gotta run-Happy Fathers day to any Fathers out there!

Bowl of strawberries! Yummy!!

I have made this card with one of the newest images on Squigglefly-checkout all the new ones in the last couple days by clicking here! I just think this image is so YUMMY!!! Lookie at those gorgeous strawberries! I have colored with my copics and added a little stickles to make the strawberries stick out. The colors I have used, I am stuck between thinking they don't match at all-and that they look kinda cool together. What do you think? I had just got in my new SU items and couldn't wait to use the new Bermuda Bay-but realy had these other papers in mind for this image-soo......together they went! Sentiment is made off of my computer, and punched with the SU work label punch and a the new SU punch-modern label. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello out there....

Hi! Today I found out that a friends Dad has passed away-so sad, I havent seen her yet-but I have made cards for her and her family. I used the SU thoughts and prayers set, it is the perfect set for sympathy cards!

On a happier note-today I just happened to go check out SF and see if there were any new images-and WALA!!!! I found this oh so cute piggy!!!! Can't get much cuter than this little guy! I asked my hubby to look at the image and see if he could come up with a cute saying-I like the one he came up with-Baking (Bacon) in the sun... WOW-maybe I ought to ask his advise more often- I think it is really cute! Ok-so ya want to see the card I made? You can find this little guy here.

By the seaside

Well, today I have two different images that I have made into a pair of somewhat matching cards!
The first image is the little girl (beach baby), she is from Squigglefly and can be found here. Isn't she just gorgeous!! I have added a flower (SU) and the little shell (SU-lifes a breeze) on her card to make it just a tad more girly. I have colored both with copics and added stickles in various places.
The little boy(little Joey) is actually a freebie over on Teresa's blog and it can be found here. Such a handsome little lad!! I have used various papers some are SU and others unknown. I have added only the little shell to little Joeys for a little more boyish
effect. Thanks for stopping by!

Ya'll are invited to vote!!!

get together!!

Hello! Well, I had a fun day today-I got together with a couple of gals and made cards! Obviously I am not used to getting together, because I never know what to bring!!!! So all my cards have similarities-but I will get better at knowing what to pack for such things!!
The top two are made using Squigglefly images-the bottom four are made with a few embellishments/Su punches/ and the two using stamps are from the Tart and Tangy SU stamp set.

A lil' book to show you!

Hello! Last week when I got together with a few gals who also stamp-they brought the instructions to make this cute lil' book-I finally got mine made so thought I would show it to you! There is also a pic of what the inside looks like-it even has a place for post it notes! (I had to ask Emily where they went-she had them out in the garage where she must have been doodling while out there with Daddy!) It has several pages that you could journal or add small photos to-keep quotes or what not. Thanks for stopping by!

Lunch anyone?

I hope you guys don't mind me showing another card with this image-I just LOVE this image and it keeps jumping out at me when I am deciding on what image to use!!!
This gorgeous image is called "Sharing lunch" and of course it is by Squigglefly! You can find all the awesome new images and tons of oldies but goodies here!
I colored the image with my copics and used SU cardstock and the designer papers are from the basic grey-LILYKATE paper pad. I also used the newer sentiment from Squigglefly too and made it really small to use on top of my SU scallop circle flower! I added a little bling from a sheet of "Say it in crystals"-I just cut off a little corner to put in the corner as it looked too empty and I didn't want to leave that way! Thanks for stopping by and letting me know what you think!

Hello! I have made another squigglefly card with this whimsical image-isn't it sooo cute!! Look here. I also used one of their newer images as my sentiment, although I have seen it used as the main image of a card-and it was awesome too!!! I have colored with my copics and used SU cardstock and designer papers from the Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper pad. It is hard to tell but I embossed the piece behind with one of my SU embossing folders and used my SU punch for the circle scallop.
