tilda and friends atc challenge

This week the challenge is the last for this season-so of course it is Christmas or New years theme.

I have made mine using Bartender Edwin-as I thought he had a cheery way about him, to bring in the New Year theme!

The papers I have used are from a paper book called: Wonderland by Cosmo Cricket. I have also added a couple of brads from my stash and the "Happy New Year" message was printed off of my computer. Thank You for looking!

Hi! I finally got some ink for my printer-so I was finally able to do a card I've been waiting to be able to make! It is a 3 d owl card- my mom collects owls, and I thought this was gorgeous when I saw it on my frined Heathers blog! 3d design like these are by nikky over at http://rubbertherapy.typepad.com/my_rubber_therapy_blog/ she has some really super designs-you might want to go see for yourself! tilda atc-"frosty nights"

Finally!! I love making these cute little atc's- this week the challenge was "frosty nights".

I have made my atc with some patterned paper from the christmas glitter stack. I have colored her with watercolour pencils-obviously something I am needing some more practice at! I have added two snowflakes with a white brad, and lots and lots of stickles to make everything look shiny and kind of adding a wet look. I would love to be considered for the GD spot-TFL!!

The last couple days of mail.....

Whooohooo!! The last couple days of the mail have been very rewarding for me!! I have rec. the stamps I won from both Bootiful stamps and the woj advent calendar!!
Also, I have rec. the Sunflower ATC (and an extra) that I traded with kimicsatc.blogspot.com --they are both gorgeous!! I hope she is as happy with the one I sent her! Although I feel super bad, cuz I didnt' send her a thank you one!! I will make up for it somehow, though.
I also received some images I traded with clare over at taffy crafty-and she also threw in some goodies!! Thank You everyone!! I am a very lucky gal!!

My baby's christmas program was tonight!

Three of my four kiddo's-tonight was my youngests first Christmas program-so she got all dressed up and did such a great job!! I'm such a proud Mommy!! Missing is my oldest, as she is in college at the moment-she comes home this Friday for about three weeks!! Yeah...!!!!

new squigglefly card

I really like how this card turned out-I colored in the Scottie doggy that I downloaded off of Squigglefly!! go here; http://www.squigglefly.com/ to check out all the downloads they now have!! It is soo easy!! (see post below for a few step by step how to's for printing) These guys are all so talented!! I on the other hand obviously need to practice practice practice with water color pencils!! (I am just learning)

My Moms card from Thanksgiving

I finally got a picture of the card I had mentioned at Thanksgiving!

Squigglefly downloads!!!

I have made another card using one of the squigglefly downloads!! ( I think he would be an adorable baby card too, but I wanted him to be a christmas card-I think he's cute wearing a santa hat-what do you think?) Anyways, this is so cool-and so easy!! No stamps to store-and once you have paid for an image-you can print it unlimited times!! Don't be fooled where it says that you get 2 of 8x10's and 2 of the other size-that is simply letting you know you get the image facing left and facing right in both of those sizes right from the start----but the really cool thing is with a couple easy steps you can resize any one of those images to fit your needs!!! Here is how I did it-

1.open your email containing your downloads

2click on the download line and it will download -this brings up each download you have purchased.

3. right click on -download this image-this brings up another folder which has your 4 images. click on one of your choice and this will open the images for you in what ever picture finder you have on your computer-then print!! It is that easy!!

Now-if you want to resize your image this is how I did mine- after you get to #3 and the folder has opened giving you your 4 images, just left click on one of them and hit "copy" then go into MY PICTURES and left click to paste.

Then I went to my start button and went into microsoft works word processor-

1.clicked on insert (at the top)-

2.click on picture

3. from file

4. pictures-and scroll down and click on your image.

This is really cool, because now there are little handles and you can re-size our image to your project-and because you can print as many times as you'd like-you can mess around with it until it prints in the perfect size!!!

Also, just a quick plug here for a company I had a great experience with recently--I had purchased a stamp set from martha stewart crafts (ek success ltd) and got it home and one of the stamps out of the set wouldn't stamp right- so I sent it to them asking them to replace the faulty one-it was the cutest gingerbread house!! ( I had sent the stamp to them as well. ) Well, GUESS WHat? They really do stand behind their products, I am very happy to say they did replace it- and very quickly I might add, as well!! (which is a good thing as I wanted to make Christmas cards with it!!) I am thrilled to know that you can still depend on quality in this company!!

magnolia/stampavie challenge

This weeks challenge (#4) is to get as much texture as possible in your card.

I have made my card using a couple of my new tilda stamps! I purchase all my tildas from a wonderful gal over in hawaii-Summer at http://rosesonpaper.com/ she has an online store full of goodies and she is adding more all of the time!! Go check it out!

I have embossed-added cotton for snow, ribbon, stickles and also some cut outs from the cricut machine. The scallop oval is courtesy of Okie-thanks Okie for all the time invested in the downloads you allow us to use!

homemade ribbon holder

well, I went to the grand opening of Joanne fabrics tonight and when asking one of the helpers if they carried ribbon holders-she then told me I could make one from a shoe box! So that is what I've done! Pretty excited about this - so hoping it works! (I'm afraid the ribbons are going to get twisted and caught-but time will tell)!! I used just a regular shoe box that can be opened for easy access. I have covered the front of the box in papers from SU- it's called bella rose. And a hanger for the holder for the ribbons to go on inside. What do you think?

tilda atc card

Ok this week over at tilda atc challenge the challenge is to decorate. This weeks atc did not need to have a cute little face - so I have used the mognolia fir branch stamp. I have also tried to emboss a couple of snowflakes, but the embossing powder wasn't sticking very well- by the time I got the powder blown off from all around the area where I didn't want it! Any solutions to this problem? Please let me know!! I also have added a snowflake button to my atc as well.
